"Pre-order now for an additional 5% discount." message just before the
notice of the book's publication date.
The 5% pre-order discount applies to many soon to be published
hardcovers, paperbacks, and audiobooks. The additional 5% off will be
applied at checkout through Amazon.com. Also, if the
Amazon.com price decreases between your order time and release date,
you'll receive the lowest price as well as the 5% pre-order discount.

Most publication dates are on Tuesdays. Please note that book
publication dates may change without notice. Once

To receive the 5% pre-order discount, add the not-yet-released book(s)
to your Shopping Cart. The pre-order savings on qualifying orders will
be reflected on the final order checkout page. If you remove any of the
qualifying books from your Shopping Cart or violate any of the terms
and conditions listed below, the promotion will be invalid, and the
discount will be removed from the order. If you return any of the
qualifying books, the discount previously applied to the order will be
subtracted from the return credit.

Amazon.com's price for not-yet-released items sometimes changes between
the time the item is listed for sale and the time it is released and
shipped. Whenever you pre-order a book, CD, video, DVD, software, or
video game, the price we charge when we ship it to you will be the
lowest price offered by Amazon.com between the time you place your
order and the release date. A pre-order price guarantee message will
appear on your Order Summary during the checkout process. If you use
1-Click ordering, pre-order price protection will be automatically
applied. The order summary in Your Account will reflect the lowest
price within 24 hours of the price change.
